Wax Removal

At Hear Room, we are pleased to announce our new wax removal services. Our experienced clinician, Jim Russell, is here to assist you in maintaining optimal ear hygiene and preserving your hearing. We are dedicated to guiding you on your journey towards better hearing. It is important to note that cotton tips or earbuds can push the wax further into your ear and compact it.

Therefore, we offer safe and effective methods such as mechanical and micro-suction to remove wax from your ears. Mechanical wax removal involves using a small hand tool called a "Curette" to extract the wax from your ear canal gently. On the other hand, micro-suction is a more delicate approach that utilizes a small suction device to remove wax. Healthcare professionals recommend both methods for their safety and effectiveness.

Additionally, we are proud to offer a mobile wax removal service, where we can come to your home and provide the service for your convenience. Alternatively, you can schedule an appointment in our consulting rooms. We are committed to providing you with the best care possible for your ear health.

Micro-Suction

Micro-suction wax removal is a safe and effective way to remove ear wax that has built up in the ear canal. The procedure involves using a special suction device to remove the wax without needing any instrument. This method is considered to be the safest and most comfortable way to remove wax and is recommended by many healthcare professionals.

Mechanical

The mechanical method is used for hard dry wax, where a small tool, “curette”, is used to draw out the wax from the ear canal. Wax curettes are small tools designed to scrape or scoop earwax out of the ear canal. They are typically made of metal or plastic and have a small, curved end that is inserted into the ear.

Hear Room offers a mobile wax removal service where we will come to you and provide the service in your home.  You can also organise an appointment in our consulting rooms.
